Our approach to a learning request from a client seeks to first understand the business case or the developmental need seeding to this request. This will enable us to contextualise the training design to serve the business need or the case for transformation. Whenever appropriate, this recommended process may involve pre-training, consulting interventions or post-training coaching.
Information Academy’s Job-Challenge Competency Matrix offers a whole organisational perspective on the inter-functional competency requirements of staff across different levels from individual contributors to senior leaders in an organisation. Information Academy believes that Coaching is a partnership
Our IA Coaching Framework
Our IA Coaching Framework provides a comprehensive answer for Executive Coaching and Leadership Training. It has four parts (coaching, learning, application, and feedback) and can be applied to both individuals and groups.
For Individuals, the solution is customised to specific leadership needs in consultation with the organisational sponsor. Feedback provides data and impetus for change, as well as a review of progress. Curated Learning accelerates the change process of the client. As always, the focus is discovery and reflection of Application during the Coaching session.
What is effective is to combine workshop Learning with Group Coaching where Application is processed and discussed in small groups. This is especially useful for high potentials. Participants not only benefit from the discussion of common challenges faced by peers and how to overcome them, but also appreciate the peer bonding across functions that takes clients from good to excellent.
